The Space Cadet Bed is a French provincial-style bed defined by a tall shaped headboard, a matching low serpentine footboard and elegant cabriole-style legs. Rather than relying on dense carving, the design uses flowing curves, raised moulding and a small ornamental crest at the top of the headboard to create a lighter, more whimsical silhouette.
What makes the Space Cadet distinct is its softness. Compared with Haunt’s heavier baroque or gothic beds, it feels more romantic, airy and playful, with the tall headboard giving the piece presence while the low footboard keeps the overall form open and graceful. It has the mood of French provincial furniture, but elevated into a handcrafted statement piece.
Each Space Cadet Bed is individually handcrafted to order from premium plantation mahogany and can be commissioned in your preferred size, finish and selected details. It is a bespoke luxury bed for clients who want Haunt craftsmanship expressed through a softer provincial silhouette rather than a darker, more theatrical frame.

Unlike mass-produced furniture that is built in bulk and stored in warehouses, every Haunt creation begins only after your order is placed. This allows our artisans to dedicate their full attention to every detail, resulting in furniture that is truly one of a kind.
Each piece is individually handcrafted using traditional techniques, premium materials and meticulous attention to detail. From carving and upholstery to finishing and final assembly, every stage is completed by skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work.
Because every order is made specifically for you, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Subtle variations in timber grain, finish and handcrafted details are part of what makes each creation unique.
Our goal is not simply to create furniture, but to craft future heirlooms - pieces designed to be admired, enjoyed and passed down for generations.
Thank you for supporting genuine craftsmanship and choosing furniture made with passion, patience and purpose.

A Haunt piece is more than furniture - it's an investment in craftsmanship, individuality and timeless design.
In a world of disposable furnishings and rapidly changing trends, we believe exceptional furniture should be built to endure. Every Haunt creation is handcrafted to order using premium materials and traditional techniques, resulting in pieces designed to be enjoyed for decades, not just seasons.
Rather than replacing furniture every few years, our clients choose pieces that become part of their homes, their stories and, often, their family for generations to come.
As each piece is individually handcrafted, no two are ever exactly alike. The subtle characteristics that come from genuine craftsmanship make every creation uniquely yours and contribute to its lasting character and appeal over time.
Whether displayed as the centrepiece of a grand gothic interior or treasured as a personal statement piece, a Haunt creation is designed to remain as captivating years from now as the day it arrives.
When you choose Haunt, you're not simply purchasing furniture - you're investing in authentic craftsmanship, enduring quality and a piece that is made to be admired for a lifetime.
Timeless design. Genuine craftsmanship.
Built to be treasured for generations.
Care & Maintenance
The Space Cadet Bed is individually handcrafted from timber. Care should always suit your chosen finish.
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep the finish clean and clear of buildup.
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, abrasive pads and excessive moisture on timber surfaces.
- Keep the piece away from prolonged direct sunlight, high humidity and strong heat sources to help preserve the finish.
- When moving the piece, lift components carefully rather than dragging them, and use experienced movers due to the scale and handcrafted construction.
Because each piece is handmade to order, slight variations are part of its bespoke character and should be treated as a feature of handcrafted furniture.
