Scam Warning: Fake Haunt Websites
The only official Haunt online store is www.hauntcult.com.
We're aware of fake websites copying our store, using our product photos, descriptions and name to take payments for furniture that will never arrive. These sites are not connected to Haunt in any way, and we can't fulfil, refund or support orders placed on them.
Known fake sites
These are some of the sites we've found. New ones appear regularly under different names, so this list is not complete.
- hauntgothic.com
- hauntcultstyle.shop
- hauntculthq.shop
- hauntcultmarket.shop
- hauntcultstudio.shop
How to spot a fake
- Check the address bar. Our store is always hauntcult.com. Anything else using the Haunt name, even if it looks identical, is not us.
- Prices that seem too good to be true. Our pieces are handcrafted to order, so huge sitewide discounts are a warning sign.
- Unexpected shipping offers. Our freight is quoted per order based on your location. Be wary of sites offering blanket free shipping on large furniture.
- If in doubt, ask us. Email hello@hauntcult.com before paying and we'll confirm whether a site or offer is genuine.
If you've paid a fake site
- Contact your bank or card provider straight away and ask for a chargeback. The sooner you report it, the better your chances of recovering the money.
- If you paid by PayPal, open a dispute in your PayPal account.
- Report the site to Google at safebrowsing.google.com so others are warned.
- Let us know at hello@hauntcult.com so we can pursue a takedown.
Thank you for helping us protect the Haunt community.
